Education and Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in science preferred
Organized, attention to detail
Previous experience in clinical laboratory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the laboratory by cleaning, washing, and disinfecting laboratory equipment and workbenches.
Plays supportive roles to technologists and technicians.
Helps with transferring specimens from a primary tube into a secondary tube and/or sample aliquoting.
Works directly under the lab supervisors.
Works with administrative and clerical work associates in the lab ordering supplies and filing records.
Gathers and transports specimens from the accessioning area to the appropriate technical department.
Files instrument printouts after the tests have been performed.
Files patient results print outs and calibration, QC documentation.
Scans completed samples into the scanning system
Helps when supplies arrive and have to be organized, labeled and stored.
Works in an organized manner in accordance with established laboratory policies and procedures.
